Mikel Oyarzabal salary: How much does Real Sociedad star earn per week and annually in LaLiga?

Everything you need to know about Mikel Oyarzabal's salary playing for Real Sociedad

Mikel Oyarzabal might still be relatively young, but the versatile attacker has every right to call him a Real Sociedad legend already.

The attacker rose through the Sociedad ranks, making his first-team debut for the club in 2015 and has become an integral member of the Sociedad squad since them, helping them finish in the top half of the table on a regular basis.

With over 300 league appearances, Oyarzabal is well-respected and understandably he has been well compensated by the club for his service.

He currently holds the captain's armband as well as the status of the highest-paid player at the club, so GOAL delved into the numbers with Capology to find out exactly how much the Spain international earns!

Top earners in La Liga

When it comes to the top-five highest earners in the league, none of the Real Sociedad players make the cut. The list is completely dominated by the big three of LaLiga: Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid. Three Los Blancos players feature in the list, namely Kylian Mbappe, David Alaba, and Jude Bellingham at second, third, and fifth positions.

Atletico Madrid's only entrant, Jan Oblak, makes an appearance at fourth position, while Barcelona's Polish striker Robert Lewandowski takes the top spot as the league's highest-paid player.

Man Utd close to 2025 signing with "powerful" gem to travel for medical

Turning their attention towards the future, Manchester United are now reportedly closing in on their first signing of the Ruben Amorim era with one target now set to travel to complete a medical.

Man Utd transfer news

Three Premier League defeats in a row and admitting that his side may well find themselves in a relegation battle as the new year gets underway, to say that Amorim has endured a tough start would be an understatement. And things aren’t set to get any easier anytime soon.

Man Utd send scouts to watch "complete" striker Chelsea chased all summer

Ruben Amorim wants to add more goals to his United team, and this player would do exactly that.

2 ByBrett Worthington Jan 3, 2025

Currently just seven points adrift of the dropzone, the Red Devils have the task of becoming just the second team in Europe to defeat Arne Slot’s Liverpool side this weekend before squaring off against Arsenal in the FA Cup. As January potentially commences another nightmare month on the pitch, however, those at Old Trafford must back their manager in the transfer market away from the action.

On that front, the transfer rumours are already coming thick and fast and the Red Devils could even have the first official signing of the Amorim era sealed sooner than they think.

According to Paraguayan journalist Bruno Pont, Manchester United are now closing in on signing Diego Leon with the young defender set to travel to complete his medical at the club.

In a deal worth a reported £4m, those at Old Trafford will have to wait until the summer and after Leon’s 18th birthday to see their new man in action, given that he’s unable to complete a move before that point. At least securing his signature in advance nonetheless, the teenager is undoubtedly a rising star to watch.

Leon could receive a fair few opportunities when he does arrive too, with the left wing-back spot very much up for grabs in the face of Luke Shaw’s continued injuries and the fact that Diogo Dalot is currently playing out of position.

"Powerful" Leon is one for the future

Of course, Manchester United need far more than the arrival of a 17-year-old left-back in 2025, but that doesn’t mean Leon isn’t a good place to start. One for the future, the left-back may solve one of Amorim’s greatest problems for years to come at the reported cost of just £4m. Described as “powerful” by analyst Ben Mattinson, Leon could prove to be quite the coup from Cerro Porteno.

As they wait for his official arrival in the summer, Manchester United should also turn their attention towards players likely to make an instant impact in the hope of pushing on from the embarrassment of a relegation battle.

Daryl Mitchell disappointed after New Zealand miss out on 'couple of small moments'

New Zealand allrounder Daryl Mitchell rues the “small moments” that slipped away from their grasp in the first Test in Mount Maunganui, but insists that there isn’t a gulf between his team and England.”If you looked into that third innings, I think we had them six down for 230-240 – I’m not sure of the exact numbers – but if we had taken a couple of quick wickets, the game could have been a lot different,” Mitchell said after arriving in Wellington for the second Test.”So, for us, it’s actually not too far away. It’s sticking true to who we are as Kiwis and Blackcaps, and what’s worked for us for a number of years now. Yeah, we are missing a couple of small moments now, which is disappointing, but we also know that’s the nature of Test cricket, and it’s not always going to go your way, and it can be a bloody hard game at times. But we also know we are not too far away.”Related

One of those small moments was New Zealand allowing England get away to 374 in their second innings after they were 237 for 6. England’s innings had threatened to spiral out of control when Joe Root fell to the reverse sweep for the second time in the Test at the stroke of tea on day three. But a composed half-century from Ben Foakes, and swift cameos from captain Ben Stokes and No. 9 Ollie Robinson powered England that far.Stuart Broad then tore through New Zealand’s top order under the Mount Maunganui floodlights to put the fourth-innings chase of 394 well beyond the hosts’ reach.New Zealand coach Gary Stead lamented New Zealand’s inability to throw the sucker-punch during that passage of play, which changed the mood and tempo of the game.”I thought there were times through this Test we did that really, really well,” Stead said. “I think in that second innings when they were 230 [237] for 6, if we could’ve bowled them out in the next hour, then we bat [for] a good period of time in the daylight as well with the softer ball. They are the little variables that affected us in this Test match, but looking forward to the challenge that’s ahead because we know that’s a big challenge.”Matt Henry is in, and Jacob Duffy is out for the second Test at the Basin Reserve•Getty Images

New Zealand suffered a big blow ahead of the Wellington Test, with Kyle Jamieson ruled out for another three to four months with a suspected recurrence of a back injury. So far, they have also resisted the urge to recall Trent Boult, who has handed back his New Zealand central contract, with Stead backing the current group to bounce back against England.”They [England] are obviously playing very, very good cricket,” Stead said. “I think they’ve won 10-11 of their last 12 Tests, and they’re on a bit of a roll and playing with some real confidence. I don’t think it’s unfair to say we’re probably lacking a little bit of that confidence at the moment because you don’t get the results.”But I can assure you that the faith is still with the group of these guys. We believe that these are our best cricketers, and we’re going to put everything behind them to make sure we can go out there in Wellington and really some throw punches back at England as well.”New Zealand, however, will be boosted by the return of Matt Henry, who has linked up with the squad after his partner Holly gave birth to their daughter last week. Henry is set to directly slot into the XI at the Basin Reserve in place of either Scott Kuggeleijn or Blair Tickner.”He’s obviously a seasoned bowler in international cricket now,” Mitchell said of Henry. “It’s awesome that he has just had the birth of his little girl, and I know he’ll be excited to come and join this group and hopefully take some wickets, which will be awesome. And yeah, I’m sure he’ll be pretty proud to do that with his little girl watching on TV.”Matty is my domestic team-mate at Canterbury as well, so it’s always nice having him in this group. He’s a fierce competitor, he will keep running in for you, he’ll do the job. Look forward to having him back. I think we will all do our job and see what happens.”Reserve seamer Jacob Duffy and legspinner Ish Sodhi have been released from the Test squad for the four-day Plunket Shield competition that will resume this week.

Henry looking forward to ‘taking it’ to England in Wellington

Henry is the top wicket-taker in the Plunket Shield this season, with 23 strikes in three games at an average of 11.69. But injury sidelined him from the ODIs in Pakistan and India. Having been passed fit, Henry is now looking forward to returning to action in front of a sell-out crowd at the Basin Reserve.”Not ideal with the injury – torn knee and everything,” Henry said. “So, it has been a bit of a rehab for the last few weeks. But it has been good; kind of ones of those ones where you look forward to playing some cricket. No better place to do it than the Basin.”Always well-supported here in Wellington. The Basin always has a great crowd and to hear it sold out for the first three days is amazing, and playing against England… the style of cricket they’ve been playing is an exciting one to watch as well. It has been cool to watch them play in that first game, and I’m sure everyone has learnt a lot from that first game as well and look forward to taking it to them come Friday.”The weather could play spoilsport in Wellington, with showers and strong winds predicted on the first day.

The impact of Gambhir's new stance

An analytical look at tactical and technical aspects of the first day’s play in the third Test in Indore

Aakash Chopra08-Oct-20165:30

Agarkar: Bowlers can exploit Gambhir’s new stance in a lot of ways

Following the ballKane Williamson followed the ball for the first few overs. Wherever the ball went, fielders followed. Gautam Gambhir hit one square cut for four and that was enough for Matt Henry to place a fielder manning the point boundary. The ball that went to the fence was short and wide but, instead of altering the length, New Zealand placed a fielder for a bad ball. Trent Boult also employed an interesting new tactic for M Vijay – a couple of pleasing cover drives by the batsman led not just to the placement of a deep point but also to the bowler varying angles by changing between over and around the wicket a few times in his first three overs. This is the first time in the series that New Zealand have changed their plans so swiftly in a such a short time span.Gambhir’s new stanceGambhir has changed his stance to prevent his front foot from going too far across, opening up his stance from the feet to the shoulders. This new stance has opened up the on side for him, both off the front foot and back foot. It has also allowed him to play the short ball well on both sides of the pitch. Gambhir’s comfort against short balls was evident right from the start of his innings. The only flip side to such a stance, as highlighted by Gambhir’s wagon-wheel, is that it limits the batsman from playing the full ball through covers and mid-off. Bafflingly, New Zealand’s fast bowlers did not bowl full enough to Gambhir on a consistent basis.Data sets the fieldIn years gone by, it was considered preposterous not to have a fielder at deep square leg or deep midwicket. But, in today’s era, tactics are driven by the available data. Cheteshwar Pujara neither sweeps, nor plays the slog sweep and, therefore, Jeetan Patel opted to leave that entire area in the deep unmanned. That not only allowed the bowler to cut off an easy single, but also challenged Pujara to go out of his comfort zone. Since Pujara often steps out to hit down the ground, the fielder at mid-on was pushed back. The computer tells us that Cheteshwar Pujara does not sweep•Associated PressKohli’s demonstration of technique against spin…On the fourth ball of the 46th over, Mitchell Santner dropped short and Virat Kohli went back to half-flick, half-punch the ball to the midwicket fence. When a spinner drops short, a batsman’s natural tendency is to go deep inside the crease and play a horizontal-bat shot through midwicket. Instead, Kohli played the shot with a straight bat, which is the right way to play spin off the back foot on subcontinental pitches. Other batsmen would do well to take a cue from this shot for the rest of the game….and against the bouncerKohli’s handling of the short ball has been impeccable thus far. Ever since he got out to Neil Wagner in Kanpur, there has been a concerted effort from New Zealand to bowl a few bouncers to Kohli early on. Today, he looked in complete control, both when ducking under the ball and when playing the pull shot. It is not easy to leave a few bouncers and then pounce on one that’s hittable. As a result, New Zealand’s seamers did not overdo the bouncer trap against Kohli.By contrast, it took some time for Ajinkya Rahane to find a workable strategy against the bouncers. He tried both pulling and riding the bounce in the initial stages of his innings but found himself in trouble on both occasions. Only when he decided to abandon all attempts to play the bouncer did his life become easier. He took a couple of blows on the body and looked more assured once his mind was uncluttered.

Chelsea looking at "massive" £58m signing who’d brilliantly rival Jackson

Chelsea have been searching for a reliable goalscorer since the departure of Diego Costa, spending hundreds of millions on strikers, including £97.5m on Romelu Lukaku, which didn’t turn out as planned.

The Blues’ record goalscorer is, of course, Frank Lampard, arriving late in the box from midfield, but also playing in a team that had the box dominance of Didier Drogba, dragging defenders away and opening lanes for the midfielder to score.

Of Chelsea’s top ten all-time scorers, eight of them have hit 100+ goals, but could the Blues have finally found their next 100+ goal man, with Nicolas Jackson?

Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea

Jackson joined Chelsea in the summer transfer window of 2023, joining from Villarreal for a fee of around £32m. Since his arrival, the 23-year-old has made 60 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, scoring 26 goals, providing nine assists, and totalling 4,755 minutes played.

Early in his Chelsea career, Jackson had some big misses that were heavily scrutinised, but his perseverance and quality have shone through as the striker is now proving many wrong with his overall impact, but also his goal tally.

Jackson is brilliant in all phases, dropping deep to link play, working hard for the team off the ball, and making runs in behind to cause problems for the opposition defenders.

However, one area the Senegal international doesn’t exactly specialise in is box dominance, bullying defenders and winning aerial duels to finish from crosses, which is one attribute the Blues are still lacking in their squad.

Chelsea looking at new striker

According to reports from TEAMtalk, Chelsea have asked for ‘fresh details’ on Dušan Vlahović’s situation, as they monitor a potential move for the Juventus forward. Arsenal also remain interested, according to the report, with Atlético Madrid another possible destination for the £58m-rated striker.

Former Juventus striker, Roberto Boninsegna, labelled Vlahovic as “massive” and “strong”, stating that he is a point of reference for the Italian giants. So far this season, the 24-year-old Serbian has scored 11 goals in 19 appearances, also providing two assists in his 1,560 minutes played.

So, the main two questions are, how would he fit into this Chelsea side and how does the Juve sensation compare to current no.9, Jackson?

Well, when you compare the metrics of Vlahovic against those of Jackson, it is clear what you get from both strikers. The latter likes to be involved in all phases, has better progressive carry numbers, more key passes per 90, more shot-creating actions, and overall has a wider skillset.

However, Vlahovic brings that box presence Chelsea are lacking, standing at 6 foot 3, winning 1.33 aerial duels per 90, and even adding extra shot volume, being an excellent striker of the ball.

By acquiring Vlahovic, therefore, Enzo Maresca would be able to deploy different strikers for different gameplans, having a mixture of attributes and weapons to utilise over the course of a season, and expanding his attacking arsenal just that little bit more.

5 players who may exit Man Utd in January, including 2 big Ten Hag mistakes

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim will have hoped his side’s 2-1 derby victory against Manchester City would be a crucial turning point in their season.

The Red Devils came from behind to secure a dramatic late victory at the Etihad Stadium in mid-December amid Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford being excluded from the squad, but they have since lost four on the trot.

As such, there are plenty of reasons for some major changes to take place at Old Trafford in January as Amorim looks to put his own print on the squad he inherited from Erik ten Hag. Here, we take a look at five United players who could be on the move this winter.

Man Utd's most expensive sales of all time

A look at Man Utd’s record departures in their history.

1 ByCharlie Smith Oct 3, 2025 1 Marcus Rashford Linked to: Barcelona, Juventus

In a recent interview with Henry Winter, Rashford made it clear in no uncertain terms that he feels his time with his boyhood club is coming to an end.

Speaking about Rashford’s future, Winter said: “He made it clear to me that when he said new challenge, it was away from Old Trafford. There’s no ambiguity in that. Now it’s a question of when rather than if. Whether it would be a loan in January, it would be a complicated deal to do for many reasons, but it looks like he’s out the door.

“The only issue with a move to Saudi is that he’s very keen to get back into the England squad and play in the World Cup in America. I don’t think Saudi would be right for him. Real Madrid have got Kylian Mbappe, Rashford’s not on his level. Barcelona don’t have the money. There’s Juventus possibly in Italy, but it’s a complicated deal to do.”

Although Barcelona’s money issues mean they may not be able to land the 27-year-old by traditional means this winter, there have been reports they could look to orchestrate a move in a different manner.

The La Liga side could swap Ronald Araujo or Frenkie de Jong for the forward, which could be an attractive proposition for United, particularly given their well-documented and long-term interest in De Jong.

Marcus Rashford transfer latest: Who could sign the Man Utd star?

The winger recently admitted that he’s ready for a new challenge.

ByTom Cunningham Jan 22, 2025 2 Victor Lindelof Linked to: Everton, Newcastle, West Ham

Victor Lindelof does not appear to be a part of Amorim’s plans at all, with his only substantial game time under the new manager coming in the 4-3 defeat away at Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup.

The Swedish defender’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he will be able to start negotiating a pre-contract agreement in January, while United could use their last remaining chance to cash in on him.

Newcastle, Everton and West Ham are among the teams trying to keep the 30-year-old in the Premier League, and an offer of between €7-8m (£5.8-6.6m) could be enough to tempt the Red Devils to sanction his departure.

The Sweden captain is open to an early exit from Old Trafford amid his lack of game time, although it remains to be seen whether any clubs are willing to make a move in January given that he will be available on a free transfer in the summer.

3 Joshua Zirkzee Linked to: Juventus

Despite only signing for Man United in the summer, there are signs that Joshua Zirkzee could be on his way out of Old Trafford sooner rather than later, amid interest from Serie A giants Juventus.

The Italian side consider the forward a viable long-term solution to strengthen their frontline, and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has already started orchestrating plans to facilitate a move.

Ever since his arrival in the summer, the 23-year-old has struggled in a United shirt, scoring just three Premier League goals in 19 appearances, meaning Amorim may be tempted to cash in this winter.

Since the new manager’s arrival, Zirkzee has largely been limited to appearances as a substitute, though he was on the scoresheet in the 4-3 loss against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup.

As such, Amorim may be willing to give the Netherlands international one last chance to prove himself before sanctioning his departure, but after being hooked in the first half of their recent defeat to Newcastle, the signs aren’t great.

The 10 worst Premier League signings of 2024 – ranked

There have been some shockers over the past 12 months.

ByHenry Jackson Dec 20, 2024 4 Christian Eriksen Linked to: Celtic

Back in November, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano made it clear that Eriksen’s time in a Man United shirt is coming to an end, detailing that no discussions are taking place over a new deal.

With the Dane’s contract set to expire at the end of the campaign, he will be free to leave on a free transfer, but there are signs that he could be on the move even earlier.

The Red Devils are reportedly open to suitable offers for the attacking midfielder this January, which could make him a viable option for Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, although his £150k-per-week wages could be a potential stumbling block.

Man United would prefer to get Eriksen off the books permanently this January, but if no offers are deemed suitable, a loan move that accounts for a large portion of his wages could be a possibility.

The 32-year-old has been a bit-part player for United this season, so if they are able to get him off the wage bill this January to potentially make room for a new arrival, it would make perfect sense.

5 Antony Linked to: Ajax, Fluminense

Big things were expected from Antony after his £82m arrival back in September 2022, but the winger has flattered to deceive at almost every opportunity, meaning his departure could be met with open arms by Manchester United fans.

Reports from October detailed that the Brazilian had been told he could leave Old Trafford in January in light of his failure to adapt to life in the Premier League.

Potential suitors include Brazilian side Fluminense and former club Ajax, but United are well aware they have no chance of making anything other than a huge loss on the 24-year-old.

This season, Antony is still yet to start a Premier League game, making just six appearances, so one thing that is certain is that he will definitely be no huge loss to Amorim as the manager tries to turn United’s season around.

Capitals were the first team to be knocked out, but they can spoil CSK’s party

MS Dhoni’s men will need a win from the last group game to be in the top-four•BCCI

Big picture: Battle between two excellent spin unitsIt’s a contest between a team very much in the hunt for a top-two finish – but not guaranteed a playoff spot yet – and the team that was the first to be knocked out of the playoffs race but cannot be taken for granted. For Chennai Super Kings, the equation is simple: beat Delhi Capitals in their last group game and cement their spot in the playoffs. They were in a strong position, but a six-wicket loss at home to Kolkata Knight Riders meant CSK’s qualification chances took a bit of a hit. With 15 points from 13 matches, they are in second place currently – level on points with Lucknow Super Giants with a better net run rate. Now, if Capitals come out victorious at home on Saturday, CSK will need one of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians to lose their final games. If CSK win this fixture and LSG lose to KKR in the second game of the day, then MS Dhoni’s men will play Qualifier 1 in Chennai.Saturday’s game will also be a clash between the two most economical spin attacks in the competition. Capitals’ spinners have taken 24 wickets at an economy of 7.09, whereas CSK’s have 35 at 7.55. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav of Capitals, and Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali of CSK feature in the top five in the list of spinners with the best economy rates this season (minimum 100 balls bowled), with Axar topping the chart with an economy rate of 6.95.Where Capitals have faltered, CSK have not. They have got a lot of runs from their openers Devon Conway (498 in 12 innings) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (425 in 12), while role clarity has led to impactful performances from Shivam Dube and Ajinkya Rahane, with Dhoni providing late fireworks most times. Quick bowlers Matheesha Pathirana and Tushar Deshpande have picked up 32 wickets between them, with Pathirana one of the standout death bowlers in the competition this season. That Capitals haven’t done well at home this IPL – they have won just two of their six matches – will bode well for CSK. However, if one looks at Capitals’ recent form, three wins in their last five matches is much better, more so for a team that has won just five games all season.2:35

Review: Could Capitals have made better use of Axar the batter?

Team newsAnrich Nortje replaced the injured Mitchell Marsh in Capitals’ previous game. For CSK, if Dube is still carrying a finger niggle, he is likely to be subbed in or out for the third match in a row, and play purely as a batter. The big questionForm guideDelhi Capitals WLLWW

Pitch and conditionsThe average first-innings score in Delhi this season is 168, and Warner has said the pitches have been “challenging for batters”. Pacers have picked up 40 wickets whereas spinners have taken 32 in six games. In terms of the weather, CSK will feel at home with Delhi touching 42°C during the day – this is a 3.30pm start. Stats that matter If CSK beat Capitals, they will reach the playoffs for a record 12th time in the IPL. No team has gone past the group stage more times than them, with Mumbai Indians placed second at nine. CSK have had rapid starts in the powerplay throughout this season. They score 9.3 runs per over in that phase, which is the second-highest for a team in this IPL. Maheesh Theekshana has dismissed Warner three times in six innings but Warner has scored at a decent strike rate of 136.58 against the spinner. In the nine T20s they have played against each other, Deepak Chahar has dismissed Shaw six times, allowing the batter to score at a strike rate of 125.00.Quotes”Prithvi Shaw is one of the most beautiful batters to watch. And his time off from the playing XI has seemed to give him a chance to focus on the direction he wants to move in. He certainly had an extra bit of fire in the belly in our last game.”

Scouts sent: Newcastle now closely monitoring £40m Trafford alternative

da supremo: Newcastle United are now closely monitoring a player who has been tipped to be a future world-class star as they look to add to their ranks in the coming transfer windows, according to a fresh report.

Newcastle transfer news

da betway: Though they are currently flying in the Premier League, Eddie Howe is keen to strengthen his Newcastle side in the upcoming transfer windows, having already admitted that he felt his squad was getting “stale” after a lack of action in the most recent summer transfer window.

“I think freshness is important in a squad – I won’t sit here and deny that,” he said in December. “There needs to be a certain element of trading in and out to keep the group dynamic new.

“A new dynamic and a new team always has to form every season. Sometimes, the same squad can produce a staleness and a negative product. So I think we’re aware of that. But it’s about what we’re able to do rather than ‘I want’. ‘I want’ is clear. We haven’t had a huge turnover of players and that’s a slight concern.”

Club now in talks to sign £150k-p/w Newcastle ace PIF have only just landed

It would be a rapid turnaround for the Magpies and Eddie Howe.

As it stands though, no business has been done on Tyneside this winter, with outgoings seemingly closer than any incomings. Miguel Almiron is in talks to depart, while Martin Dubravka was thought to be on the verge of moving to Saudi Arabia only for the move to have stalled.

His future may well be linked to a potential future arrival at the club, with Newcastle unwilling to lose their second choice goalkeeper without signing a replacement first, and not keen to commit a large chunk of their budget to signing one in January amid strong interest in James Trafford. Now though, a fresh report suggests that they may have had their gaze drawn to another shot-stopper this season.

Newcastle scouting goalkeeper who is ‘one of world’s greatest talents’

That is according to a report from TBR football, who claim that Newcastle are now “closely monitoring” goalkeeper Zion Suzuki’s performances at Parma as they look to plan for a future after Nick Pope.

The Japanese goalkeeper, who is still just 22-years-old, rejected the chance to move to Manchester United in 2023 and instead opted to head to Parma last summer, where he has made himself the undisputed first choice.

He particularly caught the eye during one performance against Torino, in which he made four saves worth 1.68 expected goals as he helped his side claim a point with a precious clean sheet, leading to him being dubbed “insane” by Rising Ballers on X.

Reportedly valued at £40m by Parma, he was hailed as “one of the greatest talents in the world at his position” by his head coach at former club Sint-Truiden, and TBR claim that Newcastle are the latest side to show an interest in his services.

It is reported that the Magpies have been “closely monitoring Suzuki over recent months” as they weigh up a potential future move, with scouts having been sent from Tyneside for a closer look at Japan’s no.1.

With money tight on Tyneside and Trafford reportedly available for half of the fee required to sign Suzuki, it may just be a watching brief for the Magpies.
